On most apps a follow costs one tap, so a follower count measures tapping. On Midfame you can't follow anyone by hand. Your followers are the people who keep coming back to what you post, and when they stop, the count says so.

Nobody sees who follows whom. You see how many.

Every account gets the next number, in the order people join. It sits on your profile and next to everything you post.

Midfame is new. The numbers are still small.
